Remembering Our Neighbors

Osprey Cove is more than just a neighborhood—it’s a community built on connection, shared experiences, and lasting relationships. This new section of our website is dedicated to remembering and honoring residents who have passed away. It serves as a space to reflect on their lives, acknowledge their contributions, and offer a sense of comfort and remembrance for those who knew them.

By sharing these tributes, we hope to celebrate the individuals who helped shape the spirit of Osprey Cove and ensure their memory remains a part of our community.

If you would like to submit an announcement or remembrance for a fellow resident, please email: manager@ospreycoveowners.org.

In Memory of Martha Pardue Hardin

We are saddened to share the passing of Martha Pardue Hardin, a beloved member of the Osprey Cove Women’s Club since 2019, who departed this life on November 7, 2025.

Born in Elkin, North Carolina, Martha lived a life of accomplishment and love. She built a career in finance, eventually owning her brokerage. In retirement, she enjoyed travel and boating with her husband, Alex, spending summers in Canada and winters in the Keys aboard their trawler, Martha Ann.

Martha is survived by her children, Missy Leary and Jeff Swaim; her stepson, Tripp Hardin; and five grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in the spring.

Her warmth and spirit will be remembered.
In Memory of Lucy Attner

We are saddened to share the passing of Lucy Attner, beloved former Women’s Club President and President of the OCOA, who departed this life on Friday, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, known for her kindness, compassion, and love of people. A 16-year resident of Osprey Cove, she gave generously of her time and energy to the community she cherished. Her warmth, faith, and spirit touched all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Paul, children Douglas and Diane (Mahoney), son-in-law Thomas Mahoney, and grandchildren Olivia and Declan Mahoney.

A celebration of Lucy’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to Blood Cancer United, Hospice of the Golden Isles, or the American Brain Tumor Association.

Her legacy of love, service, and friendship will be forever remembered in the hearts of her family, friends, and neighbors.
